Wrinkles are natural part of the aging process. As your age increases, the collagen in the skin decreases leading to folding of skin called as wrinkle. They appear in sun exposed regions of the skin such as the face, neck, hands and forearms.

They develop in skin when it is exposed to the sun, pollutants and smoking apart from aging process. Moreover, the genetics of an individual also determine the structure of the skin. People with lighter skin stones are more prone to wrinkles than people with darker skin tones.

There are a variety of cosmetic treatments available in the market. The treatments involve fillers, resurfacing techniques and surgery.

Causes of wrinkles:

Old Age:

As you grow older, the elasticity of your skin decreases. This is because of the fact that the collagen levels decrease. The skin does not produce enough oils to moisturize. Hence, the skin becomes dry and saggy.

The fats present in the deeper layers of the skin also decrease, this makes the skin look dull and the skin sags producing more wrinkles.

Exposure to sunlight:

The sunlight has ultraviolet radiations. The ultraviolet radiations are very harmful to the skin. This is because these rays break down the collagen and elastic fibers in the skin. These fibers are essential for providing tightness and elasticity to the skin.

Milk and honey face pack for wrinkles:

Milk contains enzymes and lactic acid . It is very easily available and one of the best home remedy for wrinkles. Moreover, if you dry skin then milk and act as excellent moisturizers.

Honey is one of the most used ingredient in expensive cosmetics. However, you can get effect of honey even at home. Honey helps in moisturizing the skin and the enzymes in the honey help to make the skin  wrinkle free. It is also great for getting pink lips.

You can use milk in the following way:

Take 1 tbsp. of milk and mix it with equal quantities of honey . Take a tissue and dip it in this mixture . Apply the wet tissue on the face in the form of a mask . You can also use a light muslin cloth. Place it on the face and let the mask dry. Wash off after 20 mins.

Turmeric and lemon juice for wrinkles:

Turmeric has been used as a skin remedy since ancient times in India . The curcumin present in the turmeric powder glows the skin from within. It removes any patches on the skin and is great for pimple scars too. It lightens the skin and improves collagen from within. The lemon is very good cleanser for the skin, making it appear clean .

You can use this  in the following way:

Take 1 tbsp. of turmeric powder and add 1-2 drops of lemon juice. Make sure to make a paste like consistency. Then apply it evenly on the skin and let it dry. Wash after 15 mins.

However, if you are having dry and sensitive skin, you can substitute lemon juice for milk.

Egg white mask for fair and glowing face :

You can this easy egg mask for removing impurities from the skin . Once the impurities are gone, your face appears glowing and tighten than before. Hence, it is great for wrinkles.

You can make an egg mask in the following way:

Take one egg and beat it until the yolks and whites mix. Then dip one tissue and then spread it on the face. You can use one or two  tissues . However, make sure it covers the entire face evenly.

When it dries after 20 mins , gently peel off the mask. It removes all the dirt and impurities in the skin.

If you want to avoid smell, you can add essential oil or just use egg white.

Tomatoes for wrinkle free skin:

Tomatoes are filled with lycopene. Lycopene is the red pigment which gives the tomato its unique red color. It brightens the skin and removes excess pigmentation. It is great for body tan too.

You can use tomatoes as follows:

Take one tomato and cut slices . Rub these slices directly on the skin. You can wash off immediately. However, if you keep it on for 10 mins it gives great benefits.

Yogurt for wrinkles :

Yogurt is one of the best remedy for removing wrinkles from  the skin. The main ingredient that helps is the lactic acid. It glows the skin and removes tan from the skin. Hence makes the skin visibly bright and fair.

You can use yogurt in the following way:

Yogurt is mixed with honey . This can be applied as a mask on the face, elbows and knees and any other areas which are darker tan normal skin tone.

Hot oil body massage for glowing and fair skin:

Hot oil body massage deeply moisturizes your skin and makes it look glowing and fair. It is great for improving blood circulation throughout the body. Oils such as coconut oil and almond oil are great for skin. Coconut oil is a great cleanser and can be used as natural make up remover. It cleans the pores and impurities of the skin. Almond oil is rich in vitamin D . Hence, it is  very good for health of the skin. These oils improve collagen formation in the skin.

Almond oil or badam Rogan oil is best oil for face wrinkles

You can do this body massage easily at home:

Take quarter cup of any oil of your choice. However, prefer any of the oil mentioned above. Add in neem leaves and basil leaves and heat the oil mildly. Massage your entire body with this oil and keep it on 30 mins. Take bath with lukewarm water and avoid using hard soaps .

Papaya face pack for wrinkles on the face:

Papaya contains enzymes which makes the skin clear and soft. It brings natural glow to your skin which makes it look fairer.

You can use papaya in the following way:

Take 1 slice of papaya and make juice or you can directly rub it directly on the face. It is better if you juice it. The juice should be applied on the face. Then let it dry out. Wash after completely dried.

Cucumber and curd face mask for wrinkles on the face:

Cucumber has naturally cooling and soothing effect on the skin . You can use cucumber to lighten the skin and hydrate it. This makes the face skin look glowing and wrinkle free. Cucumber is the best facemask for wrinkles.

You can make this mask in the following:

Take half a cucumber and grate it all . Squeeze the grating or add directly to one tbsp. of curd . Then apply it on the face and keep it on for 20 mins . Wash it off with clean and cool water.

Gram flour for wrinkles on the face :

Gram flour is the best remedy available for making the skin wrinkle free. It has been used in India from ages for skin care . It is the best home made mask for wrinkles on the face.

You can use gram flour in the following way :

Just add 3 tbsp. of gram flour to just enough milk to make paste . Apply this paste on the face in the form of a mask. Let it dry and then wash away with lukewarm water.

Aloe Vera for wrinkles on the face :

Aloe Vera gel is rich in vitamin E and other glycosides. It cleans your skin and glows it . It is very beneficial to bring back the glow of the skin.

You can use aloe Vera in the following :

Extract gel from the leaves by cutting. Or you can get aloe Vera gel easily in the market . massage the gel thoroughly over your skin and let it rest for 10 mins. Then wash your face and moisturize it with a good moisturizer.

Green tea :

Green tea is rich in antioxidants. It refreshes the skin and protects it from environmental damage . It scavenges the free radicals and protects the skin from within. Hence, it helps to improve skin collagen formation.

You can use green tea in the following way:

Take green tea powder and mix it with some honey and lemon . You can use this as a scrub or mask . It exfoliates the skin from within and gives fair and glowing skin.

Grape seed extract for wrinkles:

It helps in tightening of the skin by supplying the skin with fatty acids and vitamin E. You can use this by massaging your face with this oil.

Vaseline for wrinkles on the face:

Vaseline locks in the moisture of the skin hence it is known as occlusive agent. It helps in moisturizing the skin . However, the exact mechanism of its anti wrinkle action is unknown, it is very effective.

It is safe topically and has no side effects.
